Affordable & accessible cancer care to people in need

Our aim is to create a network of satellite clinics in the region  providing services and interventions that align with prevention of cancer, early detection, health promotion, chemotherapy, palliation, post  operative care, rehabilitation and home care

The goal is improved cancer outcomes, detection in early stages, increased cancer survival rates, access to palliative care, promoting healthy lifestyles, better end of life care, affordable access to chemotherapy and improved compliance. To that end, CCHRC is looking
to set up satellite clinics for cancer prevention, better accessibility and
affordable care

How Satellite Clinics make a difference

In order to advance its mission to make cancer care accessible, CCHRC envisages a hub and spoke model with a full fledged hospital center that has smaller clinics in its orbit, with medical services like chemotherapy, palliative care, follow up and health promotion services

Our Story

CACHAR CANCER
CLINIC (CCC)
CACHAR CANCER CLINIC (CCC)

CCHRC has a demonstrated track record of helping underprivileged sections of the society to overcome he huge problem of cancer

In the early days, Dr Kannan noticed that only a few patients returned for follow up, especially from the north. Finally, the administration realised that most people couldn’t afford the treatment or lived far away. That was when Cachar became an initiative to provide affordable cancer care to all their patients without travelling long distances.

About us

25 Years of Service
Cachar Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (CCHRC) is a comprehensive cancer care facility located in the outskirts of Silchar town in the Barak Valley of Assam, India. Cancer incidence in this region is high, and lack of affordable treatment and care leads to patients suffering a painful death.

The hospital is administered by The Cachar Cancer Hospital Society, a not for profit NGO. Nearly 80% of our patients are daily wage workers, agricultural and tea garden labourers and nearly 75% are treated for free or at subsidised charges.
