Reaching Cachar
Cachar is connected by road with Guwahati via Jowai-Shillong. It is the only road link direct from Guwahati linking rest of the world.
The Lumding Badarpur section of NF Rly is the most vital link of Cachar Mizoram and Tripura with the rest of the country.
Cachar District has its own airport at Kubhirgram which is approx. 30 km from Silchar Town and serves as the major communication link for the people of Cachar to Imphal, Kolkata and Guwahati.
