Job Description

The Medical Officer will be responsible for providing primary medical care, assisting in the diagnosis and management of patients, and supporting clinical operations at Cachar Cancer Hospital and Research Centre. The role involves patient consultation, record maintenance, and coordination with consultants to ensure high-quality and ethical healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial assessment, examination, and documentation of patients attending the OPD, IPD, or Emergency Department.
• Assist in diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient management under the guidance of consultants and specialists.
• Support in preoperative and postoperative care, monitoring patients’ progress, and updating records regularly.
• Participate in ward rounds, case discussions, tumor boards, and multidisciplinary meetings.
• Maintain accurate and updated medical records in compliance with hospital documentation protocols.
• Collaborate with nursing, paramedical, and administrative teams to ensure effective patient care delivery.
