A Call That Changed Everything
In 2006, during a visit to Cachar Cancer Hospital & Research Centre (CCHRC) in Silchar, Assam, Dr. Kannan witnessed the heartbreaking reality of cancer patients with limited access to treatment. The decision that followed was life-altering—he left behind the comforts of Chennai and relocated with his family to one of India’s most underserved regions.
Revolutionizing Cancer Care
Once a 20-bed facility with 23 staff, CCHRC struggled to retain patients—not due to lost hope, but because they couldn’t afford the journey back.
Dr. Ravi Kannan reshaped cancer care—providing free treatment, food, lodging, and jobs, ensuring no one had to choose between life and livelihood.
Today, 150+ beds, 450+ staff, and 5,000+ new patients annually stand as proof of his unwavering mission: Healthcare with dignity, for all.
