Our Journey: A Legacy of Care and Commitment

  • 1992

    Society Formation

    On April 12, 1992, the Cachar Cancer Hospital Society was officially registered, adopting a memorandum and articles of association to guide its mission.

  • 1993

    Cancer Detection Centre Launched

    A Cancer Detection Centre was set up at the chamber of Dr. Chinmoy Choudhury, inaugurated by freedom fighter Late Soroj Das on January 23, 1993.

  • 1994

    Laying the Foundation

    On August 14, 1994, Sri Santosh Mohan Dev laid the foundation stone, with a one-time grant of Rs. 50 lakh for hospital development.

  • 1996

    Hospital Inauguration & Treatment Begins

    On February 10, 1996, Cachar Cancer Hospital & Research Centre was officially inaugurated, beginning its first steps in cancer diagnosis and treatment.

  • 1996 – 2007

    Growth Under Dr. Chinmoy Choudhury

    Dr. Chinmoy Choudhury led the hospital from 1996 to 2007, establishing strong medical services and expanding cancer care initiatives.
