One year old Ajita gets to keep her vision

Amidst us at Cachar centre there is a baby warrior, Ajita Rani Das, who was diagnosed with Bilateral Retinoblastoma. A very rare form of genetic cancer of the eyes, Ajita was only three months old at that time. Her parents brought her to Cachar Cancer Hospital in the hope that she wouldvreceive medical aid and more importantly unconditional support.

Ajita went through chemotherapy. However her left eye had to be surgically removed due to complete loss of vision. She subsequently received radiotherapy for her right eye and is now recovering well. On 20th March 2016, we celebrated her 1st birthday, planned & sponsored by her oncologist Dr. Srinath VS. We are confident of celebrating many more birthdays with our little warrior princess.
